Was thinking that it could be interesting to think about OrbisDB plugins for gaming use cases as “gaming engines.”
For example, the logic (engine) for a checkers game could be handled by an Orbis plugin and the game data, state, etc could be stored on Ceramic as streams. Since the state’s composable, you could play and interact with the same game on two different sites and they’d both show you the current state since they’d be running on the same engine and data.
This combination feels really powerful and could open up Ceramic and Orbis to the gaming world.
Obviously checkers is a super simple example, but I think we can be creative and build engines for games that we actually want to play.
As a customer… 3Box Labs occasionally has team townhall meetings where we play games together to build culture. We’d love to play games built on OrbisDB!!!
