Since JSON Schema specification has a native validation keyword to do this. Is it in the scope?
Otherwise, eliminating duplicate records on querying might be a solution.

To be honest it’s not something I at least had considered previously, though maybe @paul has thought about it. In any case I’m tagging our Product Manager @avi to track the feature request.
I do think that preventing the duplicate from being created in a decentralized way will be tricky. But as you say perhaps we could do something to filter at query time.
